I am in desperate need of a 6" square silver cake drum. I ordered them some time ago and was just recently informed that they are no longer available. I re-ordered them from another site yesterday after being told that they were in stock only to receive an e-mail last night telling me "i'm sorry, they are no longer available". My local cake shops don't carry them either. Does anyone know where I can get one. I'll even take a pack of them if I have to. I need it for a wedding cake on 8/19.

Thanks
Debbie

You can always hot glue 3-4 cake boards together and cover them in foil. if you needed one to match other bases, you could cover them all. You could use masonite boards for added stability for larger drums, but because its only a 6" you should be fine with a few plain boards. I hope this helps until you find the ones youre looking for.

Thanks! Funny ~ I thought about covering one but worried about them not matching - didn't even think about covering both of them thumbs_up.gif

Try www.cakecraftshoppe.com or www.cakedeco.com. These are both great shops. I order from cakedeco (Pfeil & Holing) all the time and their customer service and shipping is great!!! I don't know if cakecraftshoppe has the drums on their website but call them and check. They have excellant customer service and shipping, too.

You could make your own with corrigated cardboard running the cardboard in different directions for strength. Or Sugarcraft has white ones you could cover.

Monica0271 ~ a cake drum is basically a cake board. Usually 1/2" thick covered in white, silver or gold foil.

Oh. I have seen those at the Sugar Shoppe here in Chattanooga. They have all sorts of sizes.

I have about every size round and square but am having a hard time finding square 6". Most places carry them starting at 8". I just called a local place that said they would order some for me and hope they get in in time. If not - i'll either make them or use my 8" that I originally intended to use.

Thanks everyone!
Debbie
