I would think so but it might take longer & your hands will hurt. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Good luck! icon_smile.gif

For the wet ingredients, yes. For adding 6 cups of flour, no. I did it at first without a KA and had to basically knead in the flour by hand. I tried a hand mixer and it was almost impossible.

I'd be wary of burning out the motor on a hand mixer. If you're KA is out of commission, just knead the flour by hand as MichelleM77 had suggested.

I ended up doing a half recipe of NFSC and it actually worked very well. It was easy and quick!
I only had to knead it a few minutes at the very end!

I prefer my KA but hopefully I can get it fixed this weekend!

Yes, most definately it will work if the wattage is high enough. Some hand helds have a wattage of 300W which is what basic KAs have.

If the wattage is on the low side, say 175W then it might be a bight tougher.

Flip your mixer upside down to find the wattage.

I only own a hand mixer and it works fine for me when making NFSC's.

I use my hand mixer for my NFCS...full recipe. Never have a problem. My little hand mixer is all I've ever owned. Jodie
