My First Complaint! How To Respond?

My only concern about that response is the ending.
"I would like to resolve this situation with you. Please let me know what you think may rectify this situation."
To me that sounds like an invitation to ask for a refund.
Maybe...
I would like to resolve this situation with you. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
I don't know...something like that.
I agree I like that you say you want to resolve but I think it may be inviting her to ask for a refund too. Everything else is stated wonderfully, straight to the point and polite.
she sounds crazy as h*** LOL
did she spend too much money on her wedding and decide she needed to get some money back?
it's a lovely cake, it seems like sometimes brides (and other people) have learned to complain as a way to get their cake at a discount....sad but true.
i always figure if they ate the cake, why a refund then?
wonder what judge judy would say?
HEY MULLET, MAYBE THE PEOPLE WHO PM'ED YOU ABOUT SUCH A BIG SIN AS USING ALL CAPS SHOULD GET A REAL PROBLEM TO WORRY ABOUT!!!!!!!
LIKE THAT IS REALLY HURTING ANYONE!!!!!
LOOK OUT FOR THE ANNOYING INTERNET POLICE!
I am so sorry you had trouble with this bride. THe cake was positively stunning. I am curious to find out what she said in reply to your email.
goodness, sounds like she just wants some money back.
she picked the ribbon, if she wanted thinner ribbon she should have bought that.
i tell myself its a numbers game, someone will eventually complain. its bound to happen and it did.
i got my first complaint too this summer, in fact i called the mom about returing my stand and i could hear in her voice she wasnt happy. so i asked how things went. she said the cake wasnt what she ''envisioned''.i did it just like the sketch she sent. she was upset that the ribbon didnt stand out color wise. well in her drawing she has hot pink but the actual ribbon was very pale pink??!! what did she expect? light pink, is light pink.yet the gerberas were hot pink on the cake, i also sensed she didnt like how the florist placed the flowers on the cake.
her daughter has the stand and hasnt returned it, this has been since april. so i look at it as, if i was going to give any money back its in the stand they are keeping.
i always repeat the orders back to them when we do the last finalization the week before the wedding to double check things.
its sad, but we live in the times where people complain and arent as appreciative.
the cake looked very nice. i would say sorry it wasnt what you envisioned.
keep us informed.
Maybe she is unhappy in her marriage ALREADY and took it out on you. Haha. I think the cake is great.
Society in general is collapsing. It's a "me me me" world and people think they are the only ones that matter - the center of the universe, if you will. SHE signed the contract which included a picture, it's on paper.... if she envisioned something different, assuming you are NOT a mind-reader, how would you know how she pictured it then, she should have spoke up or even yet...MAKE IT HERSELF!?
