I am working on a project and could use some input from all you great people out there. If you could give your children 3 gifts what would they be? Thank you in advance.

When you say "gifts" what exactly do you mean? I am not sure if you are talking about giving literal gifts or bestowing certain attributes to your children. icon_redface.gif

Not quite 3 but the rhyme I know says

Parents can give their children 2 things
One is roots the other is wings

I think it's very true

By Example: To live daily in faith.

In Heart: The ability to love, forgive, & be true

In Mind: The need to be possessors of peace.

As a single mom raising a pre-teen daughter, I hope that she's learning from me how to be a strong, independent woman, that brains are more important than looks, and that she can achieve anything if she's willing to work hard enough!

How to work
How to care
And they are accountable to God for both.

The knowledge to not take anything for granted

The knowledge to know right from wrong and do the right

The knowledge to recognize love & happiness and money isn't everything

I know it may sound corny but the old adage of faith, hope and love come to mind. If you have all three you can perservere through anything.

My daughter turned 21 a few months ago, and I can say she has and continues to be a blessing to me. Throughout her life I tried to instill in her faith, charity, and the ability to reason and think for herself.

Courage to do the right thing.

Wisdom to know the right thing.
