Can whipped chocolate ganache filling be left out overnight?

If not, does anyone have a good chocolate filling recipe that can be left out?

Thanks.

You can use chocolate pudding. No refridgeration needed, they are sold at grocery stores.

Pudding does require refrigeration, once the container is opened.

Ganache can sit out, as long as the room is too hot. The whipped ganache can soften if the room is too warm.

Did you put butter in it or just the chocolate and cream? How long did you whip it to make a soft filling?

Thanks.

I just did equal amounts of chocolate and cream and added a little bit of vanilla (you could also add a liquer or something of the sort.) I made my ganache the night before I was going to put it on the cake, so I kept it in the fridge that night. I pulled it back out of the fidge the next day, let it warm up for about an hour, and really only stirred it until it was a nice speading consistency. I've heard that if you over-whip the ganache will become grainy, so I didn't want to risk that. I also put a thin layer or raspberry filling on top of the ganache for a little extra flavor. This was actually my first time making ganache & it was very easy and tasty.

Sometime back there was a thread concerning pudding in the can and if it was safe to use as a filling and leave out for a few days. Because a couple of people felt that it was safe, I contacted Hunts and inquired as to the safety of it being left out. They told me that by all means, it HAD to be refrigerated once the can was opened. It was not safe to leave out. Just thought that I would pass that along.
