I am making a graduation cake for my godson's party this weekend. It's going to be covered in fondant and will have fresh strawberries mixed with pastry pride for the filling. My question is, I'd like to decorate and be done with it by Friday. The party is on Sat at 6:30 in the evening. Will the cake be ok still with the fresh strawberries in it? I have so much to do for this party that I wanted to get the cake done as early as possible on Friday. Thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The strawberries are risky. they can melt into a gooey mess overnight.
