I printed a photo on a frosting sheet, but I can't remove the backing. I got the frosting sheets from www.kopykake.com I read their instructions as follows:

1. To create a computerized cake, first remove the frosting sheet from the backing before placing in the printer (something I did not do icon_cry.gif )
2. Frosting sheet should peel easily from the backing sheet (I tried, but I had to stop because I was damaging the edges)
3. If you have difficulty, put backing sheet over the edge of a table to help it peel away from the frosting sheet.

Can someone guide me thru this? It's my first photo cake. icon_sad.gif

Stick the frosting sheet in the freezer for a few minutes, then try again. This should help.

I find that if the frosting sheet has alot of print on it, it will take a bit to dry. If you try to remove it before it is dry it will tear. I let them dry completly and then set them in the freezer for about 20 seconds. Poof they come right off.

The freezer always works.
We have a copy confection machine where I work. (www.cincicakeandcandy.com) We always tell people to put them in the freezer, especially this time of year.

Ditto. The freezer will make it pop off in a few seconds. I am glad I finally learned that trick!

what I do is put a cookie sheet in the oven and get it nice and warm, once sookie sheet is warm take it out and put your frosting sheet on it and in a couple of minutes the back will just come right off. I learned it after many unsucessful trys the other ways I find this works best for me..

Hope this helps
