I have been baking now for several months and I truly enjoy it and my middle son is my right hand man and every time I make a cake I make him some cupcakes for helping me. Come to find out he has a trait of diabetes. The doctor said he can't have any sugar or starch.

I need all the recipes of diabetic cakes that is out there so I can still bake for my little man and he can still enjoy his cakes.

Thanks

It isn't true that diabetics cannot have sugar or starch. They should be taken in measured amounts. I recommend you see if your insurance will pay for diabetes education. Most hospitals have a program.

In the meantime, you could look at the Splenda website.

You can also get cake mixes by Pillsbury -- they have some that, I believe, use 50% less sugar and is replaced with Splenda. I accidently picked one up and was told you couldn't tell the difference!
