Edna, where did you get the board you are working on in your tutorials?

I am in Central FL too... but don't have a business license.

Thanks for all your help. I don't know why, but I was really scared to make my own fondant and GP... but after I go trough my Satin Ice, I am going to use the recipe that you use icon_smile.gif If I had, I wouldn't have had the drying issues icon_smile.gif

oh live and learn icon_smile.gif

There's one golf glove posted on CC. You could probably use that as an example and also just search in the gallery for all gloves to get the detail you need. Good luck on the cake. GI.

i teach gumpaste flowers through wilton at michaels.. we have the book and cutters that wilton has... but i do not go by the directions exactly.. i show the students the up to date methos of cutting the flowers and wiring them... the directions in the book is out dated... i show them the mexican hat way of doing a lot of flowers and leaves.... i love the pre made gumpaste by wilton.. i love nicholas lodge recipe the best.. but i have to use the wilton one at michaels. but i do love working with wilton gumpaste... i show them how to use the pasta machine to roll more thinly... i have to buy all the wires... and they buy them from me... i like the gumpaste wires from all the on line products for gumpaste.. i love scott woolleys books and videos.. i love nick lodges books and videos... so many great teacher out there and their books.. hth

thanks Edna!

I agree about the book, its from what the 80's? They should really update.

They might argue if it's not broke don't fix it, but I really contemplated buying it because it was so old. Food companies don't always change their recipes, just the packaging...

Tho I am slowly switching from Wilton to other product icon_smile.gif

I think they simply try to reach people with simple steps..but quite honestly they are not always the best. I teach my students my way too of doing things..
