Does anyone else have a hard time with the Wilton Character cake pans - like figuring out what's what on the cake? I always have to look back and forth at the pan to figure out the definitions in the cake, and the directions are sometimes opposite of the cake itself.
I actually find it easier to pipe a picture on a cake or, now that I have learned from CC how to, to do a FBCT.
Is it just me or is this a real problem????
I did the Wilton race car pan, and it was okay. There were a couple of lines that didn't show up well though on the cake itself. I had to refer to the picture/directions all the time! A couple of areas weren't well explained, and the picture actually showed a car going in the opposite direction, so that was odd. I didn't find it really hard, just time-consuming. I don't know if this is what you're talking about, but I hope it helps. I love the fbct! But, if a customer wanted a specific type of pan character cake, then I'd go with that.

I've had the same issue at times, so I have had my husband scan the pictures and then reverse them for me so I can decorate faster. I keep that picture with the directions for the next time. The part that really irritates me is when they have their logo or description right on top of the area of the picture I am most unsure about- then it's time to hit their website to see if I can get a better picture.
