So I finished my father's day cake for my husband. The one with him and my kids sculpted from MMF ... I wanted to add more detail to it, I even made a working lamp last night which I let dry and was going to place on teh cake this morning, but when I woke up ..... the back of the sofa BROKE OFF!! I was so upset, I am glad I got the photos of it yesterday ... the back of the sofa was doweled but the weight of the fondant figures pushing back on it was just too much, I will have to make the back to the sofa thicker next time ... live and learn ... I wish I had all the "extras" I made last night in the photo, like the lamp, the tv remote and cup of tea but it broke .... oh well ... here are the photos of the cake.

Great job on the modeling thumbs_up.gif Sorry that the back broke on the sofa. I bet your hubby and kids got quite a thrill with your cake even with the sofa breaking...did the older children blame it on the little one for climbing over the back icon_wink.gif
