If I add cocoa powder to a vanilla cake mix.........would that work for chocolate cake??? Had anyone tried this?? I'm trying to save myself a trip to the grocery store with my four kids........Lol. icon_redface.gif

I bake from scratch and in a pinch (or when doing a marble cake) I have added cocoa powder to a yellow batter to make chocolate batter. I would suggest that you add water to the powder to make it a pourable consistancy BEFORE adding to your batter. HTH
