I FINALLY bought myself a KA!!! 
It was by default that I actually got it. TwinDees took me to Williams-Sonoma & we stumbled across a Tangerine KA on sale!!! 
for $184. Now just a little history, I was a culinary arts major in HS & every kitchen had a KA (back then they only had white) I knew since I was 15 that I just had to have my very own KA!!! And every christmas, birthday & now mother's day for the past 16 years when I was asked what i wanted as a gift my reply would be.... a KA please.

nor my mom or my husband ever bought be my KA so it took the divine intervention of Twindees to take me on that glorious afternoon to Williams-Sonoma to purchase my 1st KA & in MY FAVORITE COLOR!!!!

I used it for the 1st time to make my son's second birthday cake & I was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy.
I threw out my dish rack from my countertop to give my BRAND NEW KA its own counter space. And NO ONE is allowed to touch it

I have never had a KA food processor but if you are looking for an excellent fp then I HIGHLY recommend Cuisenart!

I say both of them. Try to get on BB&B mailing list and then you get the 20% off couponds in the mail and use them. I got my blender from them it was on sale and I had my coupond. They mail out Tons of them. The processor I got that one as a gift but it was also on sale at the time @ bloomies.
Yeah for KA! I remember how long I waited for mine! I finally got it this past Christmas! I was holding out to see if they made it in my favorite color...PURPLE! Kohl's finally had a purple Artisin model on sale, and with a coupon to boot! It's a beautiful eggplant purple that I haven't seen anywhere since! We are VERY happy together!

I have a food processor and a blender. Neither are Kitchen Aid. I must say from experience that I use my food processor a lot more often than my blender.
Love this thread - so many people so excited about mixerss - and thier colors! I have to on my counter and when people come over they look at me like I am crazy - but I love them both!! (my first is a KA, basic whit 16 years old and still a mean lean machine - my second is a viking 7 qt)
To join the survey question - I would definately go food processer, I use that much more then my blender (which I do not think has even seen the light of day for two years, my food process I use an average of once a week)

FOr my birthday, santa and every othe occasion people like to give me something i want to have KA stuff like food prcessor, pasta set....
and my dh want to have a blender. Guess which i will give him for his birthday...
