I love this show!!!! I TiVo'd it last night and haven't watched it yet, but am planning on watching it in about 10 minutes. I'll come back after I've watched it!! 
I love that show! Got my mom hooked. She asked if he was just overdoing it for the show - but he hasn't changed from last season. I've been in the culinary field, and from what I understand, some European chefs really are like that. An executive chef (he's American) I've worked for before was pretty bad. For some reason they seemed to think if they belittled you, you would do better.
Anyway, I'm kinda glad Sarah is gone. She was a witch!! At first, I was a little surprised that Virginia did what she did - but she can come off kind of like a weasel sometimes! I expect Heather and Keith will make it to the final two. Not really rooting for anyone though - I really wasn't crazy about most of the people they got this season. But I like Chef Ramsay - he's a trip!!!
I watched an episode a few weeks ago and another last night. The head chef is MEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...I see myself watching it again next Monday!
OK, I watched last night's episode. Wow!!! I thought for sure Virginia was gone! She drives me a little nuts ... too wishy washy. I actually liked Sara. I thought she deserved to win the whole thing more than the rest of them. But now that she's gone, I hope Heather wins it all. What a great show! I can't imagine being belittled and yelled at the way Chef Ramsey yells at them!!!!!!

A chef friend knows a chef that used to work for Gordon Ramsay and he says that Ramsay has toned it down for the show. He is way worse than that in real life kitchens. The chef I worked under while doing my apprenticeship was like Ramsay but at the same time he always got the best out of us. He treated me well because I was his protege. Being a 'fancy restaurant' or 'hotel' executive chef is an enormously stressful job which in turn seems to produce the "Ramsay tough" chefs.
It is a tough job.
Working with chefs like this is stressful on the rest of the kitchen crew but at the same time they have the utmost respect for the chef and when all said and done are extremely thankful to have worked with that chef.
In case you're wondering.... no I am not like that but have definitely had many moments like that
I think Heather should win it...great drive and determination and I think she could handle the pressure that goes with the job
I love it....I'm so glad Sarah is gone she was a real Witch as someone else put it...I don't know who is going to win as I am not crazy about any of them.Keith looks like a dud with his pants to his knees but he can cook.Heather looks too young and immature and Virginia seems like the stress would kill her.
I love this show and hate it at the same time. I watched it last season and just hated Ramsey. I really don't care what profession you are in, you don't have to talk to anyone that way. I just want to slap his face. But on the other hand I can't not watch. I guess its like seeing a wreck. I think Sara should have been gone 4 shows back, she is a back biter and I really didn't see the talent. Virginia, I agree I wonder if she can handle that pressure. Heather or Keith should win I guess I think Heather should. She can take the heat and stress. I still think Ramsey needs smacked in the mouth. He may be a great chef, but IMO he's a lousy person. Monday night is the final show, I can't wait to see it.
I find parts of this show hilarious---ok, I have a weird sense of humor. I couldn't wait for Sara to get the boot!! I'm rooting for Heather.
OK ... didn't anyone else like Sara besides me??? I agree that she had a chip on her shoulder, and I didn't like her at the beginning, but she grew on me and I was sad to see her go.
I think (and hope) that Heather will win it all.
Wow so Chef Ramsey is worse in real life than in the show. 
I would have been in tears in the first 5 minutes. I have such a thin skin. 
But as a watcher i enjoy the experience. Generally i avoid reality TV, but since this show is about cooking how can i NOT watch. I wish they would do more desserts though.
I didn't like Sara because she was dishonest. Oddly enough, I have no favorite this season. Except for Sous Chef Scott Liebfried. They can show a little more of him. That would be okay with me. I thought he was a bad fit for the cake and pastry challenges. Who knows what Flora might have pulled off in the last five minutes of the Elvis cake challenge, had he just crawled back out of her butt and let her think. 
But he works well for HK.

Wow I am so jealous we just had the 1st of series 1 on last night I had to tape it and am looking forward to watching it. I can't believe we are soo far behind with TV shows.
Wow!!! Only the 1st season? Well, now you'll get to watch all of that, unlike some of us who only just discovered this show in its 2nd season!
I liked Sara and was sad to see her go. She was so funny!! I'm not sure who will go next ... I'm kind of hoping it's Virginia. She has messed up too many times, and I don't think she would do very well managing the restaurant.
I think Virginia will be the next to go for sure. Then if it comes down to Heather and Keith, I'm not sure who will win. Heather was strong from the beginning but has seemed to lose a little momentum. Keith seems to be really strong lately. I guess it will depend on the final challenge...
I agree with you that Heather and Keith will be the final two. I'm not sure who will win ... they've both had very strong points and both have faltered at different times. I guess out of the two, I hope Heather wins.
I love this show too.
Having worked in many restaurants, I can honestly say that most chefs while on the job are "The biggest jerks on the planet"!!! But are for the most part good people. It's a stressful job and not one that I would want. I personally have turned down jobs working the line in the kitchen, because of the stress and the hours stink. I prefer to waitress and deal with the customers.
I have to say I hate how Chef Ramsey always makes them call him "Chef". Even when a simple yes or no is sufficient.... It's always got to be "Yes, Chef" etc...
