Just had to share --
got in Monday night at about 7 pm.
Miss Molly down the street playing at neighbors.
Comes home.
1st thing she says: Hi Uncle Doug.
2nd thing: Can we make a pie now?
Me: I thought we were going to make a cake for Jonathan's b-day
Her: OK! can we do it now and we can decorate with all the disney pincesses.
Me: Well, jonathan is a boy so he may not want disney princess.
Her: OK! we can do the Batman logo on it.
(future cake diva?)
==all this in the first three minutes I see her
wait..gets better.
tuesday morning:
Her: good mornging! can we make the cake now.
Me: we'll do that on Friday
Her: and I get to help!
tuesday lunch:
Her: can we make cake now?
it's now Tuesday supper and so far...no question, yet.
maybe learning to make mac & cheese took care of the cooking for today -- that's right she learned to make lunch today!
Doug, you are too funny! Sounds like a cutie pie, that niece of yours! We know you're taking a much-deserved vacation, but we sure do miss your two-cents on everything!! Come home (back to CC) soon! 
I love cute little kid stories. Kids are soooooo funny!!!!!! 
Instead of Iron Chef, it can be Iron Baker ... Uncle Doug vs. Miss Molly!
