I'd much rather treat myself to a new outfit or a night out with the girls. Anything but a cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup! It is now family tradition that I buy a freddo head icecream cake from the supermarket (they are actually quite good!) and we all hoe into that for my birthday cake! I have never made myself a cake, and no one dares to try to make one for me unfortunately!
You need to train them to buy you one that you quite like and get it every year for you! They should know that cake is something meaningful to us decorators! icon_lol.gif

I've just started decorating so haven't hit my birthday yet...I however didn't make a cake for my husband's birthday...We had a really busy week and a low key birthday with just the two of us. He told me a couple of days after his birthday that he was secretly hoping for a cake...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! Welp, happens now. No cake, only because after playing with it so much, I really don't like it. icon_surprised.gif
People used to buy me cakes, but after I started letting them see what I do,(confidence issue) They quit. HMMM, I'd rather they bring me a steak or lobster dinner any day! That aint gonna happen either. icon_lol.gif
Happy birthday again. Ooooh, make your dream cake for yourself, one you've always wanted, but haven't gotten the chance to.

I bake something for everyone at work on their birthday, be it cake or cookies. So for my birthday, some of the guys joked that I should make my own cake. Needless to say, I wasn't liking that idea. Turned out, my boss suprised me by making a cake with the jello poke and fresh strawberries spelled out Happy Birthday. I was very surprised and happy.

Happy happy birthday to you!! party.gif

I have always made myself a birthday cake, as well as my mom making me one...I just love lots of cake!! But this year, my husband surprised me with a Coldstone ice cream cake....peanut butter perfection.
I love Coldstone ice cream....but the cake was not like the ice cream icon_cry.gif and that was sad...it was very dry!!!!

So, back to me making my own cake!!! I haven't lost my love for it yet! Go have yourself some bday cake!! thumbs_up.gif

Happy Birthday! You should bake yourself something really tasty that you love, whether it's cake or something else!

First of all - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

And yes, that happens to me all the time. No one even considers buying me a cake or making me one unless I specifically request it. Maybe they'll think I think it's not good enough. But I actually like the taste of our grocery store's cakes. And I don't care if it's decorated or not. I'd be happy with angel food and whipped cream.
