Does any one use a Clay Pasta Machine for rolling out fondant? I got an ad from Jo-Ann and they have one on sell this Sunday for 9.99. reg 24.99.
Just wondering if they work good with fondant. Thanks everyone.

well.. the one i tried really could not compare to a real pasta machine. you can find those on ebay cheap sometimes. Its really great when you get the motor attachment to go with it. Saves loads of time when your making a lot of gum paste flowers.

Is the pasta machine only good for rolling out fondant for accents? I'm assuming it's not big enough to roll out a piece to cover my cake with?

Would love to hear from more people about this tool - I only decorate occasionally and am worried that a more expensive "real" pasta machine is more than I need...or is it?? Any thoughts?

I use the pasta machine from Michael's I got using the 40% off coupon and it works great for fondant accents. ceshell - no, it's not large enough to roll a piece for an entire cake - too bad though - wouldn't that be great!
