I made cake balls yesterday for the first time. I used the glaze recipe here to cover them. They are much too sweet for my family with that glaze however. Does anyone have a chocolate recipe to just cover them in melted chocolate morsels or say using chocolate squares. I have looked locally for almond bark but none of the grocery stores or dollar stores sell it.
Hey! I made cake ball for the first time yesterday, also. I had some cake scraps from a Too Good Chocolate cake and added a touch of Hazlenut creamer. Used a small cookie scoop and placed them on some wax paper. After freezing for a bit , I dipped them into some baking chocolate that I had melted with a tad of Crisco. Didn't have enough for dipping all of them, tho. Hubby ACTUALLY liked them. ( he doesn't care for sweets.)
I know the tutorial says they're better cold than frozen...but, I loooove them frozen! They taste like ice cream sandwiches ![]()
The best "experimental" flavor combo thus far for me has been dark chocolate cake with White Chocolate Macadamia Nut creamer! Yum!
