Hi!

I don't really think it's a disaster but I really felt horrible! I made my first wedding cake for a coworker's daughter and I found out from someone else at the wedding that the cake started to tilt. I really took the time to dowel it well so I'm not sure what happened. My coworker never mentioned anything other than it tasted amazing (thankfully), so I asked her about it. She said that the cake was tilting in the direction of the flower cascade. Has anyone experienced this problem, or does anyone know how to prevent it? (there were a lot of roses on it) I am really hesitant to make another wedding cake- especially one like this! The photo is in my pictures -it's called Heidi's Wedding Cake (before the tilt)!

Having the flowers on the one side may have made it look tilted because it leads the eye to the one side. I know if i think a cake isn't straight i will place the flowers to balance the look of the cake.
