Hello to you all. I have a question for you all. This seems a little odd to me, but a couple of days ago, I had a PM from someone who sounds like a man judging by the user name. This person asked me where I am located. The subject message said need a cake, but the message was simply, where R U located? I gave a vague response, and today, from the same person, I got another pm asking where R U located, I have a pan, need a winnie the pooh cake. Now I looked at this persons profile who joined over a year ago and has no photos, no info. of any kind and has never posted. I guess this person only pm's? I'm not a paranoid person, but this just seems a little odd to me. Any one else have this happen?

I have not had this happen, but you should pm Jackie or Heath with your concerns about these messages.

JACKIE OR HEATH will be your next step-they can check on it-it may be nothing but then again...it's always better to be safe than sorry and if the person is watching the posts and not adding or responding to them-then they should understand your hesitation!

That is freaky. I wouldn't give out any personal information. Maybe give address and phone number to a local police station (shame on me) icon_lol.gif

DEFINITELY FREAKY!!
Do NOT reply to that person again.
Jackie should know what can be done about that person or where or how to report him/her.

I get a lot of weird emails from people who see my website. The only contact info on my site is my email address, no location, no prices ... nothing. People will email questions like "where are you located?" or even a cake order to me (in Little Rock, Arkansas) from places like Washington state, or from Virginia. I make it a policy to never give ANY personal information to strangers, and I never accept email orders. You never know who is sending it. I often reply asking how they got my email. If they reply with the name of a mutual friend or other identifiable information, I might reply with my phone number if I am sure who the person is. Be careful! There are a lot of weird people in the world.

Do not provide personal info to anyone you don't know/trust. You may also want to add this member to your ignore list so they can no longer PM you.

Once you know who this weirdo icon_confused.gif is, then you can reveal his/her name to all of us as some kind warning. I'm sure it can be traced by our computer police people. icon_cool.gif

Never respond to solicitations from anyone you do not know who contacts you via PM.

If someone contacts you that you do not know, or you receive any message you are not comfortable with, please copy that PM to Jackie or I and we will look into it.

The person I was refering to about sending me the pm's goes by the user name bignik735. My apologies if this is legit, but a couple of messages to find out where I'm located is definately a little sketchy especially when there is no history that I can find about this person except what I informed you guys of earlier.

Yikes...if they have a pan, then why can't they bake the cake themselves?

If the name is legit, my apologies but the screenname "bignik" just sounds Scooby Doo mystery van-ish! icon_lol.gif Run.

My thoughts exactly. If this person has a pan, then they probably either know how to do it or has directions. things that make you say hmmmmmmmm! Nice to know I'm not nuts thinkin this is just a bit wierd.
