So i finally decided to make it. and to me it taste like regular cake box chocolate cake.

I make the kahlua chocolate fudge cake that is posted on Earlene's Cake website. It is soooo good. Moist and dense but not too much of either!!!

I have been very happy with this cake and I have had such good reviews. I am sorry you were disappointed. Is this the Cake Mix Doctor's recipe you are talking about? That is the cake that I make.

Try the WBH chocolate butter cake.. it's really good. And if you are looking for a richer cake try a chocolate stout cake..

I use this one..

http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/recipe_views/views/107105 and it is REALLY good.. rich and moist and chocolatey. We eat it plain with no frosting or filling sometimes.. LOL. It's SUPER with a dark chocolate mousse filling topped with chocolate ganache.

I'm not crazy about it either. It tastes too much like pudding to me. I've yet to find the right chocolate cake recipe. I'll give the Chocolate Butter Cake a try.

I made the "Darn good chocolate cake" a few days ago. I thought it was alright. I had read all of the great reviews and maybe had expected more.
