icon_confused.gif ok this my sound silly, but I have a bride that has requested a custard filling with strawberries. I have never made, eaten, seen, or even smelled custard....LOL
Can you use it as a cake filling? Should I just make the custard and add strawberries or make a strawberry flavored custard? Does anyone have a good custard recipe or know where I can by some?
Thanks in advance for your help!!

she probably is thinking of bavarian cream-which is custard-like and you can buy it premade in a sleeve. You can cut strawberries up and put in the custard and it would be very good.

I did a custard filling a couple of months ago, and it was very good. Bavarian Cream is good too. I've got the custard recipe somewhere -- I'll look for it and post it if I come across it.

Thanks! I would appreciate it! Anyone else have a recipe just in case?

I had someone ask for this same filling a few days ago! There is an Almond Custard recipe in the recipe section... just substitute vanilla for almond flavoring and it should work just fine!

It's going on a WASC cake so maybe the almond custard would compliment the cake..... mmmmmmmmm almonds with strawberries - that sound good to me, how about you?
