hi, i've gotta make a baby block shaped cake that will feed only a max of 15 people. Looking for pan size suggestions and dimensions the cube should be cut to? do you think 4 by 4 by 4 is enough, or should i go up to 6 or even 8?
thanks

Are you looking to make the whole cake look like a cube? Or are you just going for the appearance of a baby block on one layer that's been torted?

I have a 10in square 3 inches high. I made a baby block cake for my grandson. I torted and iced. It turned out really nice. But that would feed alot more than what you need. I ended up giving alot away to the neighbors. There were 8 of us.

I just made some last week. I used my 12 x 12 3in pan (2 mixes with extra 2 eggs and pudding) and by the time it shrank some and I leveled it it was barely over 2 in tall and 11 in each direction. So I cut 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 and torted 1 in layers, Used 5 layers with filling inbetween each buttercream dam. And had almost 6 x 6 x 6. This worked well, so I could make FBCT and letters on each side. Have a look. I should feed enough people, they are really tall, so people only normally take and 1 x 1 . I made 4 and we were eating at work all weekend. Everyone loved them though.
