LOL!

took a peek to see how many have peeked at templates.

ok..answer me this...

why is the right flip flop getting way more views than the left one? (currently 62 vs. 45)

as...

if each view also equals someone downloading it --

then we've got an awful lot of people w/ their left foot missing --- or who only wear a shoe on the right foot!

(i know -- faulty logical but still.....)

Not to be a party pooper here but what is the purpose of the currently uploaded pattern/templates? I don't get it?? icon_confused.gif Don't we all know what a stacked cake looks like? icon_confused.gificon_confused.gificon_confused.gif I'm pretty sure we all know what a sheet cake looks like!!!!!! icon_cool.gificon_cool.gificon_cool.gificon_cool.gif

Are these for us to use to draw in our own design without us having to draw the cake shape ourselves?????? If that's the purpose, then I GET IT!!!!!!!!!

I was expecting templates of tiaras and booties and what not, not cake shapes!!! I mean, DUH!!!!!

Sorry to be so blah about this but I'm just trying to understand!!!

I only looked at the right flip flop just because that's the first one in order and no reason to look at the left once I've looked at the right!

some of us are just faster than others at uploading templates....

and DO I ever hear you on the need for booties and onesies templates! (although, you can just trace a real onesie for that template)

if you have seen anyone's templates on the site that you know belong in the gallery, please PM them and ask them to post them.

I've already sent a PM to the lady who did the tiara designs.

Hopefully, there'll soon be lots of templates in there.

A round of kudos and cake balls to the template master!! Woohoooo!! Thanks so much Doug, I need these more than you know, and I really think this will make a difference to those just starting out so that they may have a starting point on paper, and not just in their heads! Sending you 100 cake balls (the ones with no calories in 'em).

Thanks again!!

Saturday in deed! I left my brain on friday still wondering what happened! icon_confused.gif

I needed these templates when I designed my cake for the cake show. I did a pretty good job but still it would have been nice to have cleaner lines. I'm already planning my next cake show entry and now it'll be easier for me to do so!

EGADS! Would you all STOP! You're making his head swell icon_rolleyes.gif Just what ya need, a teacher with a huge ego HAHAHA

seriously, great idea actually and thanks for the contributions- I just pigged out on stencils at the hobby store 70% off sale yesterday- the ones I got were not cake stencils but I imagine they can be used, no? Flowers and ribbons and what not, some are for furniture and some are for walls, but they're all on plastic or whatever material it is LOL- I can't imagine that being a problem? I couldnt pass up the deal though so I hope they're ok icon_cry.gif (still, 40 bucks for 100 bucks worth of stuff is never bad, and if they're not usable for cakes then I'll just have to take up wall stenciling LMAO)

Thanks for all your hard work Doug!

You guys go back to school in August?!? School doesn't start here until Sept 6. Don't you melt from the heat??

(Lightbulb going on) Oh..I bet you got out a lot earlier. Duh.

you're welcome
---------------------------------
having taught in NY and now NC...

not that much earlier!!! only about a week and a half surprisingly and it seems we get less time for breaks too ( for example no winter break here! yet Easter and Christmas are no longer than in NY)

re: melting -- thankfully have A/C, tho' in my classroom more like a deep freeze!!! (have almost all the vents fully closed just to stay warm enough! -- and in winter they still stay closed or it would be an oven!)

Thanks for all the templates. I can't remember who said that about the computer program, but what a great idea. To be able to type the amount of servings needed and have the computer put up some ideas...that would be nice. If only I had the computer expertise... icon_cry.gif

I wish we would start school in Sept. It would still be hot here though so I guess it doesn't make a big difference. Wish my bus had a/c!!

I did a cake order today & the templates did come in handy! Yeah!!
