The number system maybe slightly different. I haev some Wilton and some Ateco. Both have different numbers but the shape of the tip is nearly the same. This is my opinion. Maybe someone else can help.

I'm with AgentCakeBaker. I have both. They are very similar but do vary slightly. As for quality - I wouldn't recommend one over the other - they're basically the same as you said.

I always wondered if there was any difference in the quality/tip numbers .. good info to know
