Hi everyone, one of my customers want me to create a replica of Shea Stadium for the end of the month. The cake is for about 85 people and I'm not sure how to go about creating this cake. Has anyone done a shea stadium cake before? Do you have pictures of it? Can anyone help me?

uh...how about a little drive down the highway to the wonderful boro of queens (hold nose at low tide going by the marina and environs just south of LaGuardia and north of Shea)....OR just take what ever train from your section of the Bronx to Times Square and get the "7" train -- it has a station at the stadium (ala the subway series dreams of many in NCY!) and get some first hand photos?

while not as classy looking as the Bomber's house that Babe built up in your neck of the woods, shea has it's "charms" so to speak

of course does he want OLD shea or the NEW "Citi"field?

did you see the Ace of Cakes episode where he built a Wriggly Field cake? he's got a pic of it on his website (under fun cakes - last entry) www.charmcitycakes.com

just lots and lots of cake stacked and carved and then covered in fondant.

surely you know at least one Mets fan how can tell you way more than you'd ever want to know about the stadium.

the basic exterior shape is round open on one side w/ a V shaped interior
