Tri Colored July 4Th Cupcakes!!

Hello to all--

I saw some cupcakes somewhere that were tri colored for july 4th & was planning on making them. It was all the cupcakes had red/white/blue in ecah cupcake.

Does anyone know how to do those?

Do you have a picture, Sarah? I'm not sure if you're talking about frosting or the actual cupcakes.

I have something like that in one of my magazines. You just take your white cake batter and divide it into three seperate bowls. Add red color to one bowl, blue to one bowl, and leave the other white. Alternately drop spoonfuls of the batter into your liners so you have all three colors per cupcake. Bake as usual. If you are wanting the icing like that, divide the icing into three, color each then put a little of all three colors side by side into one piping bag. When you squeeze your bag all three colors should come out at once. Makes a swirly tie-dye affect!
