What the heck has happened to my chocolate cake all of a sudden. I have been using the following recipe:
2 DH chocolate cake mix
4 TBL unsweetened cocoa powder
2-2/3 c. buttermilk
1 cup vegetable oil
6 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract

For some reason the middle of my cake fell!! I didn't open the oven door. There were no big bangs in my kitchen, no slamming door etc. Why did the middle of my cake fall? Any ideas? I have used this recipe a few times before and it never happened....hummmmm

I have also read where others have had problems....I use a very similar recipe, buttermilk n' all, but thankfully haven't experienced any issues (knock on wood).

But they changed the DH awhile ago didn't they? This only just happened to me. I saw some other posts about this and maybe I should use a flower nail with the chocolate. It was a 9 x 13!! I thought that was only needed on bigger cakes.....grrrr if it isn't one thing, it's another icon_mad.gif ....

I usually even use 2 flower nails for a 9x13. I use a flower nail for an 8in and over!
