awwwww, With my first one I bought Anne Gedes cards with the cute babies on the front and signed to my parents: your about to be grandparents again. My parents were shocked because they knew I didn't want any kids! 1 grandchild on my DH side so they were really floored and my MIL said " I wish you wouldn't have told me, now all I'm going to do is worry!" and that's just what she's done since then.

#2 I told them on a holiday at meal time while everyone was just starting to eat, food literally fell out of their mouths.

#3 was my blood test stating not that I was pregnant but the number in 1,000s of elevated hormone. I put it in with their x-mas gift. It took them a long time to figur it out. Said it was the best christmas gift ever.

#4 was a shock to everyone, because I was on birth controle (and taking it properly) I just told my parents in tears, since I was not happy about being pregnant again. (I love my son and couldn't be happier now, but my fears and hormones got the better of me then)

I gave my husband a cookie cake at the office he worked at the time saying congrats your a daddy again! with a rose and a balloon plus card. I have pictures of him holding everything with his pockets turned out showing how broke he'll be. The girls in the office couldn't stop laughing since he swore it was just the stomach flu and God wouldn't give him any more kids.

I love all the ideas especially the bun in the oven

Congrats to all of you pregos out there on this site!

oh my gosh! that is so great! to bring a cookie cake to your husband at work. i love it. for #2 i am going to do something like that. he'll freak!

there are so many creative cute ideas on here. it makes sense because everyone on this site is so creative anyway.

we just had our first baby in april. i have to say motherhood is THEE most amazing thing i've ever experienced. anyway, when we told my parents (it would be their first grandchild) we gave them a poetic picture book about 'what it means to be a grandparent'. i handed them the gift bag and they opened it up and looked through it for a few minutes... clueless... looking for pictures of people they would know. then suddenly, my father caught on... then my mother... then the tears.... it was so great!!
