I am making a graduation cake for my kids....school colors are black and orange. I am planning to frost in buttercreme and do a fondant drape in black and range fonfant. Will the black and orange fondant bleed into the buttercreme?

SOmething along the lines of this cake but with the black and orange drape together...

Thanks in advance for help and ideas icon_biggrin.gif

I use fondant on my butter cream cakes all the time, and have never had a problem with bleeding. You should be fine. Just make sure the fondant doesn't get warm - heat and fondant don't go well together. icon_lol.gif

Thanks, I was really worried the black would bleed into the buttercreme....I'll post a pic when I'm all done!

Well, was done about a month ago.....my first chance to put picture here. Everything is edible....it is by far my favorite. It took a lot of time but it was well worth it.

Thanks for all your help!
