I am making a graduation cake for my kids....school colors are black and orange. I am planning to frost in buttercreme and do a fondant drape in black and range fonfant. Will the black and orange fondant bleed into the buttercreme?
SOmething along the lines of this cake but with the black and orange drape together...

I use fondant on my butter cream cakes all the time, and have never had a problem with bleeding. You should be fine. Just make sure the fondant doesn't get warm - heat and fondant don't go well together. ![]()
