Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has seen any of the new wilton product line yet? I noticed that my local cake shop has a tinkerbell pan, Pablo (Backyardigans) pan, and Diego pan...last year they received the yearbook before anyone else in our area by weeks but I haven't seen it there yet this year...anyway, just wondering if ya'll have seen anything at yours?
I have been looking everywhere around by my area, and can't find anything!!!
I'm looking for the luster dust, went to the tent sale and all they had was the fondant/gumpast mold set.
I thought for sure stores in my area would have that stuff since I lives 20 minutes away from WILTON!! I'm a little dissapointed.
They have the new pans you were talking about at my Michale's. I went there yesterday and saw them. All Wilton pans that were normally 7.99 to 13.99 were on sale for 7.99, that includes all of their character pans. The sale is probably still going on. I don't buy character pans so I'm not sure if that's a good deal or not. I also saw the luster dust for 3.99.
Last weekend I was in Waukesha, WI at the Michaels store. I bought some decorating bag ties (can't remember the "official" name. You put them on the open end of the bag to keep the icing from oozing out. Can't wait to try them. I also picked up some rolling pin thingys as discussed above.
Do they put EVERYTHING they sell in the yearbook? It seems that sometimes I see things in the store they don't have in the catalog.
I actually bought the new fondant/gumpaste letter kit for a bridal shower cake I did about a month ago. While it was time consuming to use, I was really happy with the overall look it gave the cake.
Ok, here is a silly question...
The Wilton Yearbook is a catalog of baking products from Wilton, but also an idea book, with recipes and techniques. It's a great reference to have, since they have pages of tips and their uses. I used it a lot as a new decorator. I still use it occassionally, especially when I want to figure out what tip someone else used just by looking at a cake. You can get past years books on eBay or at many cake decorating stores.
Good luck ![]()
" glitter pipping gel -- yep, gel in red, blue, green, and yellow w/ edible glitter mixed in."
I haven't used piping gel..... does it stay soft and "gooey" or will it set up hard..... I'm thinking of a water effect........ The GEL Writers that Wilton has, stay gooey, and will smudge if you touch them..... Will the piping gel do the same ? TIA
I saw a few new Wilton products at AC Moore. They had the letters and number gumpaste mold set, rolling pin rings, and . I'm pretty sure they had new pans except I never look at character pans. So maybe someone else may help you.
I was wondering about the rolling pin rings. Do they fit on any rolling pin?
I tried looking on the Wilton web site, but I did not see anything new.
Those rolling pin rings are made for the rolling pin that wilton has(20" long and I think 1 1/2" diameter) but if your rolling pin is the same size as wiltons then I don't see why you couldn't use them.
AT the Micheals in Fredericksburg VA in front of Spotsylvania Mall this Saturday they are having a Pre-view of the 2008 yearbook in cover this year is the Castel Cake. Anyone in that area should go and see it. Too bad i can't cuase i'll be at Kings Dominion. but the people that i have talk too at micheals said it should out by the end of june.
Wilton Yearbook is a catalog that comes out every year with all new things and ideas... any one that has not seen the year books before you should check out the one from last year they sell them also at wal-mart . this was the one from last year http://www.wilton.com/store/site/product.cfm?id=FC03D8D2-423B-522D-F04C3F46A9D2B848&fid=FC03D97E-423B-522D-F7083BC2B41D278D
i now that wilton has lots of other books but the years book will say yearbook on it and the year that it came out. they always but the year before the year it came out. which i don't understand that. For All New Decor. that is a great book to get to get great ideas.
