My MMF is just falling apart. Even when I am just kneading it, it cracks open and isn't staying together. Does anyone know of a fix? Is it too dry, and just need some more Crisco?

I would kneed in some crisco and see what happens. You may have to add it in and kneed then add more depending on how it is. It sounds like its too dry. HTH

Wow, we're in the same boat. I just posted almost the same thing. I think mmf is always liken that. They usuallu sugest nuking like 10 seconds at a time till it is pliabe and adding shortening. Hope u have better luck then me! thumbs_up.gif

I second the nuke, knead and crisco advice! It works! I'm always amazed at how much crisco it actually winds up sucking up!

It sounds like it is too dry. Knead some shortening in and it will be more pliable.

Microwave and Crisco...best way to soften it up. You may be surprised by how much Crisco you need though. Just keep going till you've got the consistency that you want. icon_biggrin.gif

Nuke it, add some crisco & knead it like crazy. I'm sure it will be fine icon_smile.gif Just don't nuke it too long, it will burn. 15 sec should be plenty of time~
