Anyone got a cake enhancer recipe for strawberry that doesn't use sourcream????
PS> HI everyone LONG LONG LONG time no talk!
Sometimes I just add an extra egg and a box of instant pudding to the cake mix. Recently I tried just making a cake mix without anything else added YUCK! My family didn't even get through all the cake. Even just the extra egg and the pudding makes a huge difference.
I have been doing the same as jewels, and everyone has raved about the cake so far! I've done devil's food w/chocolate pudding, french vanilla mix w/fr. vanilla pudding, and spice cake w/cheesecake pudding.
The first of these is the only one I tried and I LOVE it. It's moist and fruity and wonderful. Basically, you can go to bettycrocker.com and put in strawberry cake or strawberries cake in the search box and a ton of them will come up...but as I said, the first one here is for a strawberries and cream cake that was wonderful. Good luck.

Here is a link to an extender recipe that doesn't call for sour cream:

I haven't tried it, though I'm curious how it would work.
I've added yogurt instead of sour cream and had good results. I've only used vanilla yogurt with DH french vanilla cake, but strawberry might add extra flavor.
