I have been thinking about starting a cupcake bakery for several years now. I am not sure what I need to do to get started. How much money do I need to start? What equipment do I need? There are so many questions. It looks like a scary business to start. Any help or sugestions would be great to get me started in the right direction. Thanks.

There are several long threads about how to start a bakery. A cupcake bakery wouldn't be very different. You would just need a few different supplies and pans.

Just do a search for opening a cake shop and limit the search to titles here is one:

My best advice I can give you is to start SMALL, then build gradiually. Budgetwise, you can start your cupcake business in your home. When you have enough clients base and money, then you can start your own bakery outside of your home. It would take a year or more, depending on your business. Good Luck.
