Does anyone know why lollipop sticks say no baking, because I have been using them for cookies and didn't notice till now that it said that. Nothing happened to the stick. Just curious why your not supposed to bake with them. Also it anyone knows a website that sells them in bulk at good prices would be great! Thanks for any advice you guys come up with.

That's an interesting question. I have never seen that, but I would think that it is because the materials are potentially flammable. It is probably a precaution so the makers cannot get sued if something did happen.

I have bought through Bakers Kitchen (link below) which is very reasonably priced - although I got stung on shipping and duty - any Canadian bakers know of a Cdn supplier please let me know.

I prefer to use the thicker cookie sticks anyway, but I guess they say don't put the thinner sucker sticks in the oven for saftey reasons. If you are baking at low/med. temperatures I can't see it being a problem.

Hi, you can use the bamboo skewers that are sold at the supermarket, they are cheaper and you can bake with them and they are 10 inch long.. Regards Grace
