I am going to try my first CCC tomorrow. Does anyone know of a link on here or an article that tells you how to do the CCC. I have a general idea but always feel better if its explained.
For example, how do you make sure the cupcakes don't slide apart? Will the buttercream hold them together?
I have NOT done one, but i just recently read some posts about this. Someone suggested gluing a cupcake liner to a cakeboard in the design desired. Then placing your cupcakes (in another cupcake liner) inside the ones glued down. this way they stay in place and you dont have to use messy icing to get them to stick. Plus the kids wont have icing all over the bottoms of their cupcakes. They are messy enough as it is! I thought that was a great idea, and I will definitely do it that way when I try one. I dont know who's idea it was to give credit. Sorry! HTH!!
There was another thread about this.....try this link: ![]()

I love doing cupcakes cakes! You can get so creative with them and they always turn out so cool!
I use a little buttercream on the bottom of all my outside cupcakes, and let them dry a little. This keeps all the inside ones stable as well, and you don't have so many messy cupcakes.
I also use my icing tip to put on the frosting...I put on a nice thick layer and then just smooth it out a little with a hot spatula. Then decorate as usual.
My fourth of july cake in my photos is a cupcake cake! They went nuts over it as nobody ever has a cake knife at picnics and they had never seen anything like it before! haha!
Merissa - I dont know if it was my post that you were referring to, but
I do hold my cupcakes onto the cardboard with a second baking cup.
Here is the post..

However I would like to add one thing, Idk if I explained well but I BAKE my cupcakes in 2 baking cups so theyre secure. If you try to glue an empty papercup to the board and place your cupcakes in it...they still tend to move around and it doesnt hold well..at all.
So, bake it in two cups, and then when you take the cupcake to eat..just remove it from the outter cup. No gooey icing on the bottom of your papercup and on your hands ![]()
Im im confusing everyone more....PM and ill do my best to help you out
