I had NO idea I could buy stuff to do these at home w/out buying a new printer! You guys ROCK! Thanks!
You should buy a separate printer that is completey devoted to just doing edible images and that only uses edible inks. You don't want to use a printer that has had normal inks run through it--kinda icky. Initial startup can be a bit pricey, but if you can get a new compatible printer at a cheap price, it is not so bad. I got my IP3000 for $40 whenthey first came out--realy had to hunt down that bargain! But once you have everything you will find that you will use it a lot.
Yes...start with a new printer. You wouldn't want any cross-contamination. You can find a new Canon for between $50 and $100 either on eBay (iP1500 ot iP3000) or at an office supply shop (MP130). I bought my printer early in the game too for $48 with free S/H from Amazon. All in all, total set-up for me was about $110. This is for a 2 cartridge system. The 4 cartridge systems will be about $100 more but worth every penny if you can spare it.
again, I say, YOU GUYS ROCK! Thanks - i probably would have been guilty of poisoning someone - that's not good for business!! ![]()
