I've seen a lot of wedding cakes with fresh hydrangeas on them however they are also on the list of poisonous plants. They are beautiful and I have a bride that wants them on her cake - has anyone ever had a problem with this or am I looking at the wrong list?

Thanks!
Deb

I'm not sure about Hydrangeas being poisonous but you could maybe find a way to set them on the cake with something underneath to protect the cake.Just a thought!

Yes, I agree with Kiddiekakes, always put something underneath fresh flowers so that they don't touch the cake.

Thanks! Most of the ones i've seen look like they just use flower spikes to stick them into the sides. I've worked out a way I would be comfortable on the top but the sides look like they will be too close to the icing.

Thanks again
Debbie
