Although I know this has absolutely nothing to do with cakes, I just had to post it anyway. If you have a child that loves Thomas the Train then you have to take them to a day out thomas. They will have a ball. My DH and I just took out son to New Haven, KY to the Railway Museum for his day with Thomas. I will admit I had fun too. Just seeing all that through his eyes was fun. If you live in Ky and get the Ky Living magazine then it is posted in there but if you don't live in Ky then you can get access to dates and time by going the the Thomas Train website. But BEWARE of the giftshop if you do go. It will just suck the money right out of your pockets. LOL!

I wanted to go SOOOO bad. I bought non refundable tickets and it POURED that day! I was so upset. Thomas is EVERYTHING to my son! We are actually doing his room over in Thomas. EVERYTHING will be thomas even the bed. I figured a great gift for his 2nd birthday on the 19th.
We are going to try again in August. Fingers crossed

He will LOVE it! My son did. My hairdresser told me that she heard there was actually a little kid who just started shaking when he saw Thomas. I laughed til my sides hurt. I could just imagine my son doing that, although he did have a ball. I did my son's room in Thomas for his 4th birthday this past April. They have Thomas border at the giftshop. My DH wouldn't let me get any though. thumbsdown.gif

P.S. Watch out for that giftshop . It's just like a monster just waiting to chomp up all your money icon_lol.gif

We took the kids to Day Out with Thomas last year at Edaville RailRoad in Carver,Ma.. They LOVED it, it was alot of fun! My son was such a Thomas fanatic, he had everything Thomas. That stinkin' wooden stuff is soooo expensive!!

Now he's moved on to monster trucks, thankfully they're much cheaper icon_lol.gif

Hey Monstersmom, Did you by any chance steer your son toward the monster trucks? If so PLEASE tell me how you did it LOL icon_lol.gif You weren't kidding when you said the wooden stuff isn't cheap!!!! We have everything in the plastic stuff that Wal-Mart has (in our town and in the 3 towns surrounding us) and we have just moved on to the wooden stuff. I think Thomas may put us in the poor house. Oh wait, i'm already there LOL

Tara,

there's not one in georgia, but there's one in chattanooga TN...not sure how far you live...it's passed already was in april. Pretty much the same time every year, if you were looking at planning ahead.

Dordee, we got lucky and he just outgrew Thomas. We took him to see Monster Jam and he's been hooked on the monster trucks ever since. You can get a really nice official Monster Jam truck for $3.00. Can't beat it!

I'm seriously thinking about putting all of the Thomas stuff on EBay. It's sitting in a closet collecting dust, maybe we can make back some of our money.

Now I can't remember the exact name of the "generic" wooden track...I want to say Brio- that stuff works with the Thomas the Tank engine stuff. (Speaking from personal experience.)
