Does anyone have the original Sweetex packaging with the nutrition (LOL!) information? I'm wondering how many grams per Tablespoon Sweetex weighs. BakeMark hi-ratio seemed to be 10 grams per Tablespoon when I weghed it, Sysco says it is 13 on the label. I was comparing with Crisco which is 12 and butter and margarine which are 14.

Also. The Sysco and BakeMark were labeled hi-ratio Cake and Icing shortening and you could use them for baking. Has anyone tried baking with Sweetex? At twice the price as the others, it might not be as economical, but if I have 50 lbs I will probably want to use it up more quickly than just for icing.

Thanks in advance to anyone who knows!

That's what we use in my classes. It's pretty much the only hi-ratio I've used, so I can't really compare it.

I would like to know, too. It is so much easier to just weigh it than to try to accurately measure it in a cup. Hopefully someone will have an answer!

I just bought a box of the BakeMark hi-ratio shortening on Friday but haven't made any BC with it yet. This is the first hi-ratio shortening I've ever used.

How do BakeMark and Sweetex compare with each other?

Thanks!
Sherri
