This is my first attempt at the fondant loop bow. I am not very happy with it. I had a hard time getting it shaped correctly. I didn't pinch the ends together so I found it difficult to place the loops in the RI. I think next time I will pinch the ends. Not to mention you can see the RI everwhere, I got a little sloppy. Any suggestions?

It was to big to attach please see it in my photos. Thanks!

Hey 2yummy - don't get so down on yourself. I felt the same way about my first fondant bow and everyone else thought it was pretty!!!!! I had another one to do right away and I liked the way it turned out so much better. icon_smile.gif Just keep practicing to get it the way you want. thumbs_up.gif

Thanks for the nice comments. You guys are great! I will keep praciting. When you make yours do you pinch the end of the loops or leave them flat?

I cut my ends on an angle so that I don't have so much stuff in the middle. I also like to use the candy melts to glue it together. They dry faster than royal and hold the pieces in place better. When I did the royal I had a problem with the bottom pieces moving when I added more on top.

I'm in luvbakin's boat.... never made one. And you know what? I am envious of anyone who is brave enough to try to make them. I wish I could be that brave! You did a bang up job!

I read in a book another way to do the bow is to pinch the ends and have toothpicks in them, then you have a ball of fondant and stick the toothpicks in the ball. I am going to try this for my next bow as I might be able to get a better result.
