I need to do a graduation cake with the theme being "Midnight in Paris". Does anyone have any ideas?

the first, and really only, thing that pops into my mind is the Eiffel Tower. Maybe you could do a cake with dark bluish-purplish icing, dark buildings around the outside edge with maybe lit windows here and there. You could probably construct the tower as a chocolate transfer, in like four pieces maybe and then "glue" them together so it will stand up on the cake? And then maybe a fondant moon on a wire, and little silver beads on wire to look like stars sticking out of the cake?
