Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone has had a problem with their pasta machine leaving gray streaks on fondant. How did you fix the problem? I used mine on a small piece of fondant and it left gray streaks on it.
Thanks,
Sharon

I recently bought one and I have not had that problem. Perhaps if you run a wet wipe or wet papertowel of several sheets folded together, through it will help clean it up. I do this after every use to avoid having some hidden fondant stuck in there which can transfer to another color I use.

By the way, I love it! I wish I had bought one months ago!

I agree with ChrisJ, you should probably run some wet paper towels through or just wash it. It's probably grease from when it was put together. I had that problem with a new clay gun I bought recently. Nothing a little soapy water can't get rid of though.

I thought I read that if you wash your pasta machine it will rust and get ruined. Has anyone washed theirs?

No not water just pass sliced bread through it with the crust cut off you machine must be unused as it only has grease on it . Good luck. Run it through on the largest setting and then do it again lowering. By the way these make excellent cups for savoury foods. Pop into cake cup tin and into an oven to dry out.

LeeAnn,
The Bread did the trick. Thank you! I would never had used water. That's why I was asking how to clean the pasta machine because I kept running dry paper towels through it and it would'nt clean.
Thank you,
Sharon
