Can anyone help. i've got to make a golf theme birthday cake for next wednesday. i know what i'm going to do but whats the best thing to use for the sand in the bunker. i was thinking brown sugar but i'm afraid this will be too sweet and alter the taste too much.

brown sugar would work great!!! or even if you crumble (very finely) sugar cookies!!!! good luck!!!

I did a train cake and for the dirt under the tracks, I used crushed Graham crackers, hope that helps.

For "dirt" on my baseball field cake, I used very finely crushed graham crackers.

Im in the Graham cracker crumb club! it tastes good to. But if your going for the look, light brown sugar would be the better choice-its almost identical to the cosistency and look of sand
