Hello, I was just wondering what you all thought this might be. I am working on a baby shower cake for tomorrow and also a wedding cake for tomorrow, both are for people I know very well. But all day long I have had this pit of my stomach, nauseous, nervous feeling. This is my first wedding cake, but its simple so I wouldn't think it would be nerves. OR maybe I am worried about my cake staying fresh after I decorate it, because I would like to have them both done tonight. Does anyone have any ideas about how to keep them fresh after I have decorated them. and also if I am just being paranoid over nothing.

thanks icon_confused.gificon_twisted.gif

If you can refrigerate your cake (be sure no smelly things are in there) it should be "like new" when you deliver them.

They should be just fine for tomorrow. I understand though. I always stress until the cake is at the site - is it pretty enough, is it perfect, will it make it there intact, is it what they wanted, will it still be fresh? Totally normal! Your nerves will calm down a little the more you do this and hear that everything was great. Maybe not completely icon_smile.gif but that's part adrenaline icon_smile.gif

I think its nerves - I go into a strange "zone" when I do wedding cakes - I don't notice but my BF sure did. I have to listen to certain songs on the stereo and don't pay any attention to the world around me.
Just remember to breatheeeeeeeee and step away from the cake for a break every now & then.
