Why do they have to stick the tape to the pan? icon_confused.gif I wanted to use my 8" Wilton pans so I removed the exterior label and the tape from the inside that held the packaging. Well now I need can't use them until I get the sticky residue removed. What can I use?

I also use Goo Gone. It works well and smells great, and a little goes a long way!

I also use Goo Gone but have heard that cooking oil works as well as WD-40 in case you have this stuff around the house and don't want to go to the store. Hope this helps!

I was told once that a diaper wipe is a food way to remove adhesive like bandaids or sticky left over from tape or stickers.

another vote for Goo-gone. You can find it at home depot, lowes and sometimes at the grocery store in the cleanser aisle.

I use a product call Krud Kutter. You can get it at Walmart in the paint section. Great for getting crease and adhesives off pans.

Wow, what good ideas! Thank you for posting this topic.

I have noticed, because I bought a couple of new pans yesterday, that they seem to use a new substance to glue the papers to the pans, and that they seem to use more of it, too. The old stuff was like hot glue, and peeled right off, (though I hate it when someone uses tape to put them in....) but this new stuff is harder to get off.
