I had never heard of that but it sounds better than paper cones.
I have a friend that uses little artists paint bottles with fine tips like for writing calligraphy. She just warms them in the microwave. The writing comes out great.
I have bought vinyl for rolling out my fondant from the fabric department and wonder if you couldn't by a yard of it and cut it into small squares. It comes in differing thicknesses. It might be a workable and inexpensive alternative. In fact, I might just go try that myself. I can see how it would hold a nice sharp point.
I have read and been told that acetate for chocolate, cakes, etc. MUST be food safe. You are putting hot/warm chocolate on the acetate and it can release chemicals. I have heard of folks using floral acetate, etc. Just so you know...that's not ok. You are better off with JB Prince....
