I can't tell if the purple flowers are individual leaves or if they just used a leaf tip and just piped icing. Also - the green inbetween the purple - long leaves?

The purple, to me, looks like lots of drop flowers. The green, looks like rows of pull-out leaves with smaller white, possibly 81 pull-outs or even 352/352s pull-outs added at the base of each leaf.

They look to me like they are supposed to resemble cluster grapes.

Have you contacted the bakery that did it and asked them?

I know I recently saw a cake with those types of piped/dropped flowers. I am pretty sure they are royal icing. It may have been in this book...

Wedding Cakes (Victoria Magazine) (Hardcover) by Kathleen Hackett

Wherever it was it was a very similar but the flower cascades were violet and blue(?)

i think the purple is supposed to be lilacs, that's what it looks like to me anyway. the pale green, man that is hard to see, but it looks like tip 104, almost like the pansies we did in wilton course 1

I know! It is making me crazy! I thought the purple was almost like wisteria. who knows? Oh well - I am giving them a huge discount on the cake so they can just go with it!!! icon_biggrin.gif
