Can someone tell me how this is done? I can't get close enough to the picture to tell! I feel dumb, but I have a customer who is in love with this cake and I can't see it well enough! Are those leaves between the purple?

I am not sure how it's done but they sure are good, I'm sure someone here knows
I can't tell if the purple flowers are individual leaves or if they just used a leaf tip and just piped icing. Also - the green inbetween the purple - long leaves? ![]()
I know I recently saw a cake with those types of piped/dropped flowers. I am pretty sure they are royal icing. It may have been in this book...
Wedding Cakes (Victoria Magazine) (Hardcover) by Kathleen Hackett
Wherever it was it was a very similar but the flower cascades were violet and blue(?)
i think the purple is supposed to be lilacs, that's what it looks like to me anyway. the pale green, man that is hard to see, but it looks like tip 104, almost like the pansies we did in wilton course 1
I know! It is making me crazy! I thought the purple was almost like wisteria. who knows? Oh well - I am giving them a huge discount on the cake so they can just go with it!!! ![]()

Those flowers are also in this wilton book of cake decorating.
