they are waxed cake board circles. are they re-usable? these are different than the regular cardboard ones you buy from wilton, right?

Waxed boards are great because they don't absorb moisture from the cake. however, the edges will absorb moisture and grease from the frosting on the edge of the cake.

they are not meant to be re-used.

I have used those type of boards before. They are different from the plain cardboard only in that they are covered with a wax to make them grease resistant. No, I would not use them again. The bottom of the board (on the ones I have used anyway) was regular cardboard. HTH
